MERTON GARAGE - South Wimbledon - Kingston Road - Raynes Park Station - New Malden - Kingston By Pass - Tolworth - Red Lion Road  -  Hook - Scilly Isles - HAMPTON COURT STATION (Mon-Fri peak journeys) - Hampton Court Road - Hampton - HAMPTON GRAMMAR SCHOOL (SDO journeys)

On September 27, 1980 the 152 was diverted at its western end from Tolworth to run into Surbiton instead of its long-served routing through Hinchley Wood to Hampton Court and (school days only) Hampton Grammar School. However there was still a need for transportation over the abandoned section by pupils of said School so Route 152A was created, running on school days only to align with the school's opening and closing times. The route operated only until October 30, 1981. Presumably alternative arrangements were made for pupil transport.

I think that this was probably the first day of the 1981 Autumn term. I would have noticed them from my office window, which was the one by the F on the bus stop in the background!

In this photo the two buses allocated appear to have completed their morning trips to Hampton and retired to Hampton Court Station to take stand time before returning on scheduled runs to Merton Garage
