All were on the blinds.
In the case of Oakleigh Park Station the turn was for buses from the Barnet direction only. The buses turned via the roundabout at the junction of Oakleigh Park North & South. Although to my knowledge this was never used. Another was North Finchley (Tally Ho!) which was a turn in case buses could not reach Woodside Park. This appeared in the tender document, so I queried this at the time – and that was the reply. Never used.
Lastly Totteridge & Whetstone Station was used very rarely – perhaps about three times in five years. We did not like to turn buses mid route as both sides of the route had/have bespoke mileage, meaning customers had no alternative choice.
Buses did get turned at Barnet Church – but it was quite rare. Most buses ran end to end. It was a matter of pride!
