New Tram replacement route for Routes 8 & 20
There was a huge local outcry at the time because the final stop was several yards short of the St Leonards junction (tram stops were invariably at junctions) and then buses would turn and stand in Babington Road - so those waiting for a bus to Tooting at the main stop in Mitcham Lane couldn't use them
