I was a driver out of GM from 1966 to 1969 working on route 10 for its last few months ex GM - then route 52 to Mill Hill with two duties on the rota Monday to Friday through to Borehamwood. As a driver on the 52 rota we also worked route 11 duties on Saturday and Sunday - with crew changes westbound towards Sloane Square outside a building just west of the exit road from the then BOAC building - the stop location was outside what is now the side of a block of flats. There were two stops either side of Elizabeth Street - one before the Coach Station and one after - these were combined into one stop and to the present location when the then Buckingham Palace Road Contra Flow bus lane was opened.

Eastbound towards Victoria the crew changes took place at a stop which was outside what is now the Belgravia Police Station - was then a closed old church. The bus stop flag was attached to a lamp standard and until a few years ago there was still a telephone cable coming out of the pavement that was years ago attached to the old London Transport telephone - which had a locked dialling facility at the base - but the handset was not locked for quick answering. The eastbound stop was moved when the building of the police station started up to its current location.

In 1969 I became a Central Bus Inspector based out of Victoria and one of our duties was to supervise route 11. This was carried out at the crew change over point. Monday to Friday we worked with the Route Controller (Gold Badge) as it was roughly half way between Liverpool Street and Shepherds Bush. On Saturday and Sunday we supervised the GM crew changeovers there.
